Sara
Schwartz, Project Manager, Cusco
Sara, raised outside of Philadelphia,
attended Friends’ Central School, and went on to graduate
from the Gallatin School at New York University in 2005 with a
degree in Education Reform and Spanish. While in high school,
Sara was captain of the varsity field hockey team and helped lead
her lacrosse team to a league championship. While at NYU, she
ran an after school empowerment program for girls in Brooklyn,
and worked with at risk youth teaching theater in Queens. Last
year, she directed a substance abuse prevention and life skills
program for homeless youth in New York City. Along with Claire
Laver, she currently manages the GSW program in Cusco, Peru. |

Claire
Laver, Project Manager, Cusco
Claire grew up outside of Philadelphia
and graduated from Friends’ Central School in 2001 where
she was the captain of her high school's soccer and lacrosse
teams for two years. She continued her education at the University
of Pennsylvania, leading her club soccer team to several regional
playoff births. She finished with a degree in Urban Studies,
minoring in Art History and Spanish, and worked in several inner-city
tutoring and arts programs throughout college. Since graduating,
she planned and coordinated National and Global Youth Service
Day in Washington DC, and taught Nutrition Education in Philadelphia
Public Schools. She and Sara Schwartz are currently managing
GSW in Cusco, Peru. |
